This is an interesting article from IFSEC global about access management.
Access control can mean completely different things dependant on which side of security you come from i.e. physical or IT.
Over the last decade though, these two disciplines have been converging, no more so than with access management. In fact, in June 2018 I wrote a blog post about it (read that here).
With the rapid growth of IOT devices, and particularly IIOT devices in the manufacturing process, the new challenge is protecting access management systems in a smart environment.
You may ask what the solution is?
The answer is converged security.
The issue with that, however, is everyone sees it separately.
What are your thoughts?
